An "Amazing" Experience

Your day will be designed with the television hit The Amazing Race in mind for you and eight friends, culminating with catered dinner with the star herself. The Amazing Race is a reality television game show in which teams of two people, race around the world in competition with each other. Contestants strive to arrive first at “pit stops” at the end of each leg of the race to win prizes and to avoid coming in last.
Your adventure will take you to various places in Orange County. Once the friendly competition has been completed, you and your friends can relax at home with a wine-inspired dinner for your guests, catered by Colette's Catering Extraordinaire! Colette's chef will custom design a five-course menu with wine
pairings. Nat will join you for dinner, where you'll be able to recall the day, hear about Nat's experience, and take lots of photos.
What makes this even more meaningful is that Nat has lived with type 1 diabetes since being diagnosed at age 12. She is a vivid example of what is possible in life, even when faced with a chronic disease from which you can never take a break. Nat had to prepare for The Amazing Race in ways that no contestant had before, making sure she had everything she needed to care for her diabetes, being ready for any scenario that arose – she was given no special accommodations. Nat is also a successful Newport Beach physician, caring for people with chronic pain.
From her experience in the limelight, Nat believes that part of her responsibility is to bring to light the realities of type 1 diabetes. While she is living successfully with the disease, and much research progress has been made, she is keenly aware of the need for us to finish the job and find a cure for diabetes. Her partnership is helping us get there.
